On September 29, the RCSC together with the Russian Consulate General in Chennai and Pondicherry University hosted a webinar "Together against Evil" dedicated to the Russian-Indian cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
The speakers for the webinar were Mr. Anton Chernov, Consul of the Russian Federation in Chennai, Mr. Gennadii Rogalev, Director of the RCSC, Lt. General Syed Ata Hasnain, Former General Officer Commanding 15 Corps (Srinagar), 21 corps and Military Secretary Member, National Disaster Management Authority, Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Pondicherry University and Webinar Moderator Dr. Kumaresan Raja, Associate Professor, Dept. of Politics and International Studies, Pondicherry University.
Lt. General Syed Ata Hasnain, in his presentation on Russian-Indian cooperation in the fight against terrorism, noted that the use of modern Russian technologies could play a key role in the joint fight of India and Russia against terrorism, which poses a threat to both countries.
In his speech Mr. A. Chernov emphasized that Russia and India have many years of experience of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, both within the framework of bilateral meetings of working groups and within the framework of multilateral forums of the UN, SCO and BRICS.
Students of Pondicherry University, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development and professors of other universities took part in the webinar.
