The inauguration of the exhibition ‘Russia-India: the light of great art and great friendship’ took place in Bangalore

October 9, the inauguration of the exhibition ‘Russia-India: the light of great art and great friendship’ with the reproductions of the works of Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich took place at the visual arts academy, Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore.
The event was organised by RCSC, Chennai and is dedicated to the 145th birth anniversary of the great Russian artist and thinker, Nicholas Roerich. The exhibition was provided by the State Museum of Oriental Arts, Moscow and the print partners were Signarama India.
The choice of the exhibition venue was no coincidence. The Cultural and educational arts center, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath was founded by Svetoslav Roerich in Bangalore.

The opening ceremony features speeches by distinguished guests: Chairman and Managing Director of Food Corporation of India, Mr D.V. Prasad; famous artist, Mr. Chandranath Acharya, President of Chitrakala Parishath, Mr. B.L. Shankar and Director of RCSC, Chennai, Mr. Gennadii Rogalev.

The event was attended by the head of the Art Academy, representatives of the cultural elite in the city, journalists, art students and Russian compatriots.

The exhibition will be open till October 13. Admission is Free.
