More than 250 students attended a lecture on “Great Russian Physicist Alexander Popov”

December 18, the lecture titled “Radio Wave receiver. Its invention and history” dedicated to the 160th birth anniversary of Alexander Popov, was held at the Chennai Institute of Technology.  

Dr. B R Ramesh Babu, Dean of the Research department of the Chennai Institute of Technology and Mr. Gennadii Rogalev, Director of the RCSC in Chennai addressed the students with welcoming speeches.

The welcoming speeches were followed by the lecture dedicated to the scientific achievements of Alexander Popov, the Great Russian Physicist who created the first Radio wave receiver. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Jayakumar Venkatesan, CEO of Valles Marineris International (Space Agency).

The event was attended by more than 250 students.
