On April 13, the admirers and appreciators of Russian language gathered at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture to participate in the campaign “Total Dictation” that has already become traditional for Chennai.

Before the dictation, the participants listened to the video message of the author of the text “Total dictation - 2019” - the Russian writer and literary critic Pavel Basinsky.

Ms. Valentina Maiorova, head of the Russian language courses at the RCSC, dictated the text in Chennai.

For the first time as a part of the Total dictation, “TruD” test was conducted for the Indians studying Russian language.

The test consisted of 10 tasks of different levels of difficulty. Interesting thing is the youngest participant of the test, Master Nial is only 8 years old, who began studying Russian six months ago.

All students noted that, participation in this event was interesting but difficult as the tasks were not easy.
