Open lesson “Higher Education in Russia” in Chennai School

On November 10th, an open lesson “Higher Education in Russia” was held at Alpha School in Chennai. It was organized by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture jointly with the school administration and Study Abroad Educational Consultancy. The event held within the programs to promote Higher Education in Russia and was attended by the students from 11th and 12th standards, teachers and school authorities.

Head of the Russian language courses at the RCSC, Ms. V. Maiorova conducted a power point presentation depicting about the possibility of obtaining a free education in Russian universities within the quota allocated by the Government of the Russian Federation; about the procedure of selection and enrollment, characteristics and prospects of education in Russia; social and cultural life of students in the country and advantages of Russian education. She focused audience attention on the need to study Russian language for better adaptation in Russia and possibilities of studying Russian language courses at the RCSC.

The representatives of “Study Abroad” gave information about paid basis educational programs in Russian universities.

At the end of the program, the students received booklets with information on the process of admission into Russian universities under scholarship grants.
