More than 200 senior students took part in an open lesson “Higher Education in Russia”

On October 30th, an open lesson “Higher Education in Russia” was held at AMM Matriculation higher Secondary School in Chennai. The event was organized by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture jointly with the school administration and with the support of Study Abroad Educational Consultancy. The lesson was attended by more than 200 students from 11th and 12th classes, teachers and representatives of school administration.

Ms. V. Maiorova, Head of Russian language courses, conducted a power point presentation depicting about the possibility of obtaining a free education in Russian universities within the quota provided by the Government of the Russian Federation; about the procedure of selection and enrollment, characteristics and prospects of education in Russia; social and cultural life of students in the country and advantages of Russian education. Special attention was paid to the importance of studying the Russian language for better adaptation in Russia and the opportunities available to attend a course of Russian language at the RCSC.

The representatives of “Study Abroad” gave information about paid basis educational programs in Russian universities for Indian students.

Booklets with information on the process of obtaining scholarship grants provided by the Government of the Russian Federation were distributed to the schoolchildren.
