The preservation of the cultural heritage of Moscow and Chennai, and the restoration of museums, historical buildings and architectural monuments were discussed during the webinar “Dream into Reality”, which was held on August 22, the Day of Madras. The event was organized with the support of the “Madras Inherited” within the framework of the joint project of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the RCSC in Chennai 'Twice Rescued', dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Ms. Arina Karenova, Architect, Architectural Restoration Studio, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, spoke about the plans for restoration work on the unique buildings of the Pushkin Museum.
Ms. Ashmitha Athreya, Indian Architect and head of operations of “Madras Inherited” presented rare information about the historic buildings of Madras and the process of their restoration.
The webinar provided a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights from leading Russian restorers to Indian specialists. Participants, who were mostly students, learned more about one of the leading museums in Russia.
