2500 participants, 18 universities and colleges from 8 cities of South India. The RCSC in Chennai announces the results and award winners of the Olympiad “Precise Energy”
From 7thto 9th March, the RCSC in Chennai hosted the final stage of the Olympiad “Precise Energy” in mathematics, chemistry and physics for the talented students of the Kudankulam NPP region. The Olympiad was organized by ANO “Energy of the Future” in cooperation with the RCSC in Chennai and supported by Rosatom, Atomstroyexport and the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
The final stage was attended by the 327 students, who were selected from the results of the first round of the Olympiad in which 2500 students had competed. The students from 18 universities and colleges in Tamil Nadu were tested on mathematics, chemistry and physics. The winners of the Olympiad in each discipline received the top prize– an educational tour to Russia organized by Rosatom. The results of the final round were evaluated by the leading professors of MEPhI. A special prize from Rosatom was awarded to the students with the top scores in nuclear physics.
On March 9, Mr. Oleg Avdeev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Chennai, Mr. Gennadii Rogalev, Director of the RCSC in Chennai, Mr. Maxim Sysoev, Press Secretary of Rosatom in South Asia, and Mr. Alexander Byebakov, Deputy General Director “Energy of the Future” congratulated the winners at the award ceremony. The organizers expressed gratitude to the faculty of universities and colleges of the state for their help in conducting the first round of the Olympiad in various Indian educational institutions.
