On August 20, the Russian Centre of Science and Culture held a press conference for the participants of the 10th International Children’s Creativity Project of Rosatom “Nuclear Kids” 2018.
Welcoming speech at the opening of the conference was given by Mr. Gennadii Rogalev, Director of the RCSC.
The general information about the 10th anniversary project of “Nuclear Kids” was given by the representative of the Regional Centre of Rosatom in South Asia. This year, India was represented by three children from the school in Kudankulam, where Rosatom is implementing a project to build the largest nuclear power plant in India. Almost a month in Hungary, children from 9 countries of the world did rehearsal of the musical production “The Lomonosov’s Scroll”, which was premiered in Szekszard. Then the musical show was shown in different cities in Russia: Moscow, Ekaterinburg and other cities.
The main topic of the press conference was the stories of children, about their unforgettable and enthusiastic experience of participating in the project, trips to the cities of Russia and new friends from other countries of the world.
The press conference was covered by the leading media of State Tamil Nadu.
Nuclear Kids – the annual non-profit international creative project in which children of employees of the nuclear power industry from Russia and foreign partners of ROSATOM State Corporation takes part. The aim of the project is to strengthen the friendly relationships between children, make conditions for creative development of talented children, and develop the new traditions of cultural interaction. Every year, in summer, more than 70 talented boys and girls from different countries gather together at the rehearsal base and for three weeks get involved in the production of a professional musical performance, then the whole team tours to Russian cities and abroad. Famous directors, composers, choreographers, professional teachers work with the children to create the musical.
