On May 23, the first open online lesson was held at the RCSC in Chennai as a webinar dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. Twenty-eight participants from different cities of India registered for the lesson.

Russian language teacher Evgeniya Solovchuk gave a presentation on the origins of the Slavic script and its creators, the Holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, the stages of evolution of the Russian language, and its significance in the modern world.

Head of Russian Language Courses in RCSC Chennai, Valentina Mayorova then conducted a practical lesson in Russian, during which she taught the audience the alphabet, words of greeting and farewell, explained the main rhythmic models of the language and introduced the participants to the basic concepts of grammar.

It was a very interesting and interactive experience. Due to the current unfavourable epidemic crisis in the world, such classes provide new opportunities to successfully attract and teach everyone who wants to learn Russian.
