Photo exhibition “Crimea: five years at the homeland harbour” inaugurated at the RCSC in Chennai

March 21, the Russian Centre of Science and Culture successfully held an inauguration of a photo exhibition “Crimea: five years at the homeland harbour”, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation.

The photos revealing the development of Crimea after its residents took a historic decision to come back to Russia are exhibited in the exhibition hall of the RCSC. The photos depict the great infrastructure projects realized within the last five years, such as Crimean Bridge, the Simferopol airport, modern highway 'Tavrida' and others.

Addressing the audience Mr. O.N.Avdeev, Consul General of Russia in Chennai noted that the impressive strides made by the Crimean Republic towards prosperity is a solid proof of the wisdom of its residents, who in March 2014 exercised their sovereign right to determine their future and overwhelmingly decided to come to Russia’s fold.

The exhibition was attended by the professors, experts in International relations, representatives of various NGO’s, cultural figures, alumni of Russian and Soviet universities, students of Indian universities and schoolchildren.

The exhibition will be open until March 26 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
