On March 10, a festive program dedicated to the International Women's Day was held at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Chennai.
The program began with an inauguration of arts and crafts exhibition, which presented the work of compatriots from Russia and the republics of Belarus and Armenia living in Chennai.
The key part of the event was the screening of a melodramatic comedy film “The Crimean bridge. Made with Love!” by Russian Director Tigran Keosoyan. Before the screening, Mr. Oleg Avdeev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in South India, greeted the audience and wished all women on 8 March and spoke about the achievements and development of Crimea over the past 5 years since reunification with Russia.
The film was watched by the Russian Compatriots, Alumni of Soviet and Russian Universities and the students of the Russian language courses.
The celebration was held in a warm and pleasant atmosphere. And, of course, on this day the employee of the RCSC gifted flowers to all women.
