From August 13 to 19 of this year, a trip to Moscow was organized within the program “Hello, Russia” for the young compatriots who are constantly living in India. The group included four children who had won the competition of Russian history and culture held in the Russian Centers of Science and Culture (RCSC) in New Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai and Chennai, as well as the adults accompanying them.
Arriving in Moscow, children received the opportunity to communicate in Russian with their peers from more than 30 countries who also came to the capital to witness how Russia is living. Created cohesive team of forum delegates, was facilitated by the interactive event "All flags would be guests to us", where youth spoke the language of songs and dances of the countries in which they live.
All participants of the program, more than 300 people, lived in the Izmailovo hotel complex and had opportunity to walk around the architectural ensemble of the Izmaylovskiy Kremlin, built according to the drawings of the royal residence of the 16th-17th centuries. The guys visited the Red Square, the Moscow Kremlin, Armory chamber and have seen change of guard of honor at the Eternal flame on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
During the stay in Moscow, young compatriots were in the main capital museums, have acquainted with stage requisite and pavilions of the film studio Mosfilm. They took part in the quiz at the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, dedicated to the life of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. On the basis of the Russian Academy of National Economy and public service, delegates were told about the higher education system in Russia.
All the members of the Indian delegation were satisfied with the journey, which allowed them to see the modern Russia, to immerse in the country's past, to know how their compatriots in other countries are living and to make new friends among their peers. As one of the participants said, "This week we would have been in different historical epochs, which Russia gone through, seen the modern Moscow, met boys and girls from Europe and America and exchanged telephone numbers and e-mail addresses ".
The program of educational trips to historical places of Russia “Hello, Russia!” is implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo since 2014 through Government Commission on Compatriots Living Abroad. It is participated by the young 14-19 years Old Russian compatriots, who became the winners of creative competitions on Russian history and culture. Every year more than 700 young compatriots from countries near and far abroad visit Russia.
